EU wants to ban Iran oil exports

The European Union (E.U) is an economic and political union with 27 member states such as Switzerland, Germany and Russia and America. The E.U has been trading with Iran for their crude oil and still is. The E.U is the first ever trade partner of Iran. Iran and the European Union have been trading well for quite some time now and close to 90% of EU imports from Iran are energy related. Iran is now rated 6^th in energy supplies for the European Union.

Although the relationship has really grown a lot in friendship and potential this relationship has been really harmed by one thing.

Iran is a very wealthy country and has started a nuclear program. The EU feels threatened by this and is now ready to stop trading with Iran. The EU states have decided and have agreed in principle to  

The EU wants to and is ready to stop trading with Iran. EU member states have agreed in principle to ban imports of Iranian crude oil to put pressure on the country over its nuclear program.

I think this is not fair on Iran as America has nuclear bombing and there is no reason that amarica has the right to stop them. How can, say, the United States, which has the second-biggest nuclear stockpile in the world, forbid others to have their own?
